Summertime is in full swing here in Missouri and I'm making the most of these hot, humid months with a quick little patio project from Westlake Ace Hardware! It's a DIY Outdoor Murphy Bar, takes minutes to put together, and is the perfect accompaniment to all of your summer BBQs!
All you'll need is a few cedar pickets (cedar keeps bugs away!), a couple of 1x6 boards, some decking screws, a few feet of jack chain + d-rings and hinges for the door, a paint brush and a gallon of your favorite paint--I love the Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines options available at Westlake Ace Hardware. After a little deliberation, I ended up going with the shade "mineral green" and I think it turned out lovely! It was easy to find everything I needed right there in the store thanks to the help of the friendly staff; they even kept my kiddos entertained while I waited for the paint to mix up! We've got quiet a few paint projects in our near future, so I'm glad to know that there's a local shop where I can find all of the brands and accessories I trust for all of my home improvement projects!
