Tis the season for all the plaid and this pretty midi skirt is no exception! I'm always a big fan of holiday plaids, but this more neutral palette really drew me in and I was so excited to take it for a spin. I love the vintage vibes I get when I wear it! The fun part is, if you look closely, the pattern is really a mixture of gold/tan and black, so this skirt looks great with both brown and black accessories. As you know, I'm always here for a versatile piece!
I was really impressed with how heavy this skirt is! It will definitely be a winter wardrobe staple when the temperatures drop and demand more woolen knits. Since I'm still hanging on to that last bit of fall while Thanksgiving is still upon us, I opted to pair it with warmer neutrals like this cognac beret and handbag. This look still works great for winter, but if I'm in the mood I just might throw on a black sweater, vintage brooch, and tights for a bit of a darker look. It's fun to play with color palettes to create a completely different style while still using the same basic pieces.
Do you prefer fall styles or winter? Do you even find that there's a difference? Winter is really the only time I wear much black, so that's a big difference for me, but otherwise my fall and winter wardrobe is much the same!
