January 2019 - Like Honey

Pink White Hot Chocolate

Looking for a sweet way to warm up this Valentine's season? Satisfy your sweet tooth and snuggle up with a warm mug of this PINK white hot chocolate! It's rich, festive, and perfect for a cozy night in by the fire, celebrating a day of love!

Have you ever made hot cocoa from scratch? It's so incredibly easy and tastes so much better than the mix kind. The best part is it only takes a few minutes to whip up a whole batch and you can control the ingredients so you know exactly what's going into your mug. I bet this would be delicious with other flavors like coffee or caramel, too!

Even the kids loved this fun hot cocoa recipe! It's a delicious treat after playing outside in the snow that the whole family will enjoy! You can customize the recipe in any color you like, or leave it plain white and just enjoy it with your sweetie on a cold winter's night! If you're having a Valentine's date night in, this is the perfect addition!

What do you have planned for Valentine's Day this year? Do you prefer a night on the town or an intimate night in?

Who says bow ties are just for boys? I've been seeing dresses adorned with bows all over the place lately and I am seriously loving it! This one is from J.Crew Factory and I can't believe it's still fully stocked at only $20! I would hurry and grab one quick before people notice this hot deal! I'm in my regular small but it's still pretty roomy. I like the cozier feel, but if you'd prefer it a little more fitted, size down!

SHOP THE LOOK

If you're looking for a super simple and feminine dress to take you through the rest of winter, this one is it! The merino wool is extra warm (and didn't irritate my skin the way regular wool does!) and the fit is flattering on all body types! I opted for a monochromatic look with opaque black tights and black heels. I love how dressy this outfit can be without really any effort. Jewelry isn't required thanks to the bow details at the neckline, but earrings made me feel a little more put together and polished.

The last thing I added was this dainty antique watch. It used to belong to my great grandmother and has been passed down to me. I love the two-toned gold and the family history behind it, but I don't get to wear it too often. This dress has slightly shorter than wrist length sleeves so it gave me the perfect opportunity to take this sweet heirloom for a spin. Do you have any family heirlooms or hand-me-down jewelry that you don't get to wear often enough? Breaking it out occasionally does make it extra special!

I seriously can't get over how much I love this simplistic sweater dress! It's got just the right amount of feminine detail without being too showy or trendy! And at SUCH a good price! I'm totally keeping this as an option for Valentine's Day, too! Just add a red lip, glitzy clutch, and a couple of rhinestone studs and this would be perfect for a celebratory date night!
